刘丛强

刘丛强,男,生于1955年9月,研究员,中国科学院院士,国家自然科学基金委员会副主任。主要从事地表地球化学过程及其生态环境效应以及微量元素和同位素地球化学基础理论和应用研究。曾获中国科学院首届“中国科学院创新文化建设先进个人”等荣誉称号。

刘丛强主要在喀斯特区域地表地球化学过程及其生态环境效应、微量元素和同位素地球化学基础理论和应用两个方向进行了系统研究并取得突出成就。研究揭示了喀斯特流域养分生物地球化学耦合作用机制和循环规律、流域化学侵蚀与地质和生态系统之间的关系、人为活动影响喀斯特流域养分自然生物地球化学循环的机制并提出流域硫和氮循环影响碳循环及其温室气体源汇效应的观点,有关研究丰富了传统表生地球化学理论。对地表和地球深部固体流体体系稀土元素分配规律的研究丰富并发展了稀土元素地球化学理论;在利用多种同位素与微量元素对地表和地球内部地球化学过程和物源示踪研究方面做出了特色突出的系列重要成果。

1990年8月获中国岩石矿物地球化学学会候德封奖(中国西部(东部)新生代火山岩的同位素以及微量元素地球化学 013号)

1993年5月破格晋升为中国科学院地球化学研究所研究员,并被国务院学位委员会批准为博士生导师

1994年8月获国家地震局科技进步奖二等奖(排名第7,中国新生代火山岩年代学与地球化学,证书号 922804,1994-8)

主要从事新生代火山岩及地幔包体地球化学、地质流体作用地球化学和地表过程地球化学等领域的研究工作。利用微量元素和同位素地球化学的过程和物质来源示踪理论,对中国新生代大陆地幔岩浆作用及地球化学特征、地质流体作用、地表过程及其环境效应等方面开展了研究工作。作为首席科学家组织实施了我国第一个地质流体作用地球化学研究项目;在喀斯特环境地表地球化学过程及其环境效应方面获得有关物质循环与环境效应的系统认识,国内外学术界给予了很高的评价。

主要从事地表(无机、有机和生物)地球化学过程、物质循环及其生态环境效应的研究:环境和生态系统的变化与(自然或人类活动干预下)地表各圈层内及相互之间物质的生物地球化学循环密切相关。针对这一核心科学问题,在结合其它学科理论和研究方法的基础上,充分利用元素和多种同位素地球化学示踪和化学计量学理论和方法,主要对我国西南喀斯特生态系统中岩石-土壤-植物-水-大气界面生物地球化学过程和流域物质循环开展研究。
